The Youngest on the Startlist
Ryan lined up as the youngest of 149 drivers at one of New Zealand's most celebrated rally events. The Otago Rally is no place for the unprepared; this year, 59 starters didn't make it to the finish. Ryan did, and he did it without a single mark on the car.
He finished 75th overall and climbed to 11th in Class B, a remarkable result for any rookie, let alone the youngest in the field.
The Kuri Bush Highlight
What made the difference wasn't raw speed. It was mindset. Ryan chose consistency over aggression, resisting the pull of "win it or bin it" rally instincts in favour of a patient, stage-by-stage approach. His dad, riding alongside him as co-driver, brought a steadiness that kept them both grounded throughout.
They rounded out the weekend with a high-energy run through the iconic Kuri Bush stage, which Ryan described simply as the "best weekend ever". We think that says it all.
Supported Every Step of the Way
Ryan races with the support of Hayden Paddon's Paddon Racing Group, one of New Zealand's most respected names in rally. That backing, alongside a loyal group of sponsors, reflects the faith the motorsport community has already placed in this young driver.
Ryan's debut is chapter one. We cannot wait to witness the many moments worth celebrating to come.
