FAQ

Questions families ask us most

Still unsure about something? Our enrolment team will talk it through with you, no obligation.

Is this a real school, or is it correspondence learning?

It is a real school. Your child has live small group classes five days a week with New Zealand registered subject specialists, a homeroom, a dean and classmates from all over the country. Lectures are recorded so nothing is missed, and one-on-one tutorials are available.

What does a school day actually look like?

Each subject has one live lecture a week, followed by live small group classes. Timetables mix live class days with independent study, and free blocks let students train, work, rehearse or volunteer locally without falling behind.

My child is neurodiverse. Will they be supported?

Yes. Support is built into how the school runs, not added on. Every student has a dean providing individual pastoral care, and we have a School Counsellor for wellbeing and a SENCO for learning support. Live small group classes make it easier to teach to different learning styles.

Where does this pathway lead?

Students learn an internationally aligned curriculum through to their final years, with University Entrance built into the pathway. Deans track progress across the year and step in early when a student needs more support.

Can my child still do sport, music or work?

Yes, and the timetable is designed for it. Free blocks are there for local sports, arts, part-time work and volunteering. Students can keep playing for their local school teams and clubs.

Is there a spot for my child?

Every student in New Zealand is welcome to apply, and we now have 2,000 places for Years 9 to 13. Applications are accepted year-round on a first-come, first-served basis.
